Museum of Contemporary Art

It was my second time at the contemporary museum. The first time that I went there was in 2007. The first time I didn't pay close attention in the details. This time was a short time, but I could appreciate the art work and artists better. This time, I could see art with different eyes than the first time. I was impressioned with Alfredo Jaar work. I got really emotion with the art work that was displayed at the museum. I could see by the images, the sadness life of all of those people.

I love my new acting class.Action makes part of Art. Today my teacher spoke about Realism in class, and I remember the first time I study about it was in are art class.

I am interesting in installation art because a several of art that relate to installation is not so clearly. Today for example I was in the Internet and I saw many installation image. One of them was this one. I still don't understand what is it. Could you guys guess?

Yestarday I didn't go out. Whenever I took some picture today of paintings that I have in home for you guys check out.

Yesterday, I spent my whole day outside. I went on Schaumburg with my husband and friends for a grand open medical spa. There were different painting hang to the wall. The design did a nice job with the decoration of the place.

Today, I was waking on Belmont and Clark , and I saw a store that sells some miniature of home. It was very similar to a real house. I didn’t have change to look inside because the store was close. I want to take a look some other day.

Reflection- Loop Tour

I had never pay close attention in anyone of this art work in Chicago. It was the first time after opened the loop tour web site. It is very clearly where it art work is locate. The audio is interesting, because it explains a little bit of each work. For whom don’t know anything about, have the opportunity to lean it with a little explanation. The most interested information I found was “Picasso Chicago”, a sculpture, made from Picasso exclusive for Chicago, was not appreciated for a lot of people in Chicago. It took a while for people accepted it.
I recommend this tour for any tourist whom comes to Chicago. Who look for some art beside of the Art Museum .One specific people would be my Brother who is in Brazil. In this summer, I will take him to take some picture there.

I had a good time in the HOB. I think was one of the best tours we had done so fair. I had never been there before; it was a new and excited experience. I love how everything looks like. The whole place is full of arts. The walls and ceiling look fantastic. The whole wall was with a colorful fabric material, and the ceiling was decorated with gesso. I like the ideas to have a decorative place as HOB in Chicago. I didn’t get bored at all. I wish I could spend little more time there. It was so many different things and unique, which gave to me a really enjoyable moment. How about the living room, it looks classic, and very peaceful. I like the fact it has different kind of temples, and images, for all different religions. I really desire to come back.

Black Venus a painted polyester Nana more than 9 feet tall,exibits a sexuality that is both powerful and polyester and buoyantly cheerful .The figure almost busts out of a sort of bathing suit gaily colored in hearts and flowers,ch=lutching a beach ball. (Pagine 432)

When I see this sculpture I see happiness colors. It seems if the woman wanted to play or dance.The woman seems to have a lot of energy. I choose it because it is something funny to see. I like the confidence of this woman who doesn't have a small size,and is not shy to wear a small clothing.:)

Michelangelo Movie

The movie"Michelangelo Artist and Men"is about the life of Michelangelo. Also, include his the best works.
Michelangelo born in March 1475 in Florence, Italy. He was an amazing artist, but a little bit insecurity. He father was a politic and powerful man. His mother died when he was 6 years old. Michelangelo father didn’t want to him to be an artist, because in this time, artists didn’t make enough money. When Michelangelo was 13 years old, his father sent him to live, and study with one of the best artist in Italy. Michelangelo in this time, used pen to draw and painting. He points was perfect as three dimensions. It looked like it would get off from the page. After see his works, the artist who he lived with, suggested to him to do a sculpture. When he was 14 years old he made the first sculpture. The artist saw how good he was then sent him way to live with Maditi, another artist, then he would bottle marble to try to make sculpture. He made a bust sculpture. It was beautiful too beautiful, then Maditi asked him to make uglier. When he was 16 years old he began a new project “Pieta”. Pieta was so perfect looked like real. When he was 17 years old, his returned to his family town, Florence, and started learned anatomy. Pieta was completed in 1500. In 1501 to 1504 his made David. Everything he had learned about human body, he put on David sculpture. After David, he was asked to do a challenge in Sistine Chapel. The polyps Julies asked him to painting the ceiling of the Chapel. Michelangelo took 4 years to finish it. He finishes in 1512. It was all cover of religious painting. After that, his became rich. Before Julies died he asked Michelangelo to make his tomb. Michelangelo stated, but didn’t finish. When Julies died, Michelangelo made a small tomb; it was one of his best works. In 1534, Michelangelo started a new work behind of the altar. It was the “ Lost Judgment”. It took him 7 years to finish. Michelangelo died when he was 89 years old, in this time, most people live until 40 years. He died before finish the new project, a new version of” Pieta”. Michelangelo was a painter and sculpture. He works as art was consideration some of the most beautiful art work of all kind.

The Sacred Realm

This painting reflects on the buddhism religion.Many peolpe believe a Buda is a men ,but this picture look like a woman for me. As you can see a Buda is sitting on the throne on piece and relaxe. When I look this painting I feel calm.People are at the botton ,who believes in Buda, is praying for him.

Art Institute

I liked had a trip to the Art Institute,although the time was too short. I had been in a art museun a long time ago. Everything looked pretty good.I saw there many different arts,but my favorite one was "Reclining Nude" from Max Beckman.It seems so real.The woman in this painting,fells sensual and confident. The shape and contour were the things that get my attention. It was a pretty fun trip.

Cultural Center

I had a very good experience to the day I went to the Cultural Center. I have never been there before. It was interesting for me to see all work that made from Christine Tarkowski and Angel Otero.The first impression I had of Tarkowski works, was she focus in one topic,which was her life alone with Cancer.The painties were pretty same. It trasparated to me how sad she was in this moment. My favorite painting was "Some Days Few So Alive" .My question is,was she always alone??? Before found she had cancer,it was someone in her life?

Object of Art

That was made by a friend mine Edilso Lima. Edilson has been create costume for many years. The costume usually has 4 pices. My favorite part of the costme is the hat. It is different,beautiful and fun. The material used for this costume,was find in Brazil. Every hats need differents kind of material. Things that can't missing, are specific glue,beads and colorful feather. The reason I choose this object,is because represents the culture of the carnaval.
